Bio

Gabriele Biondi (1995, Milan) is a visual artist based in Milan.

His practice has long been anchored in an inquiry into the pictorial medium. Attuned to chromatic and luminous values, his painting embraces landscapes and intimate atmospheres, articulating a layered field of figurative processes in constant hybridization.

In charting a painted space marked by perceptual disorientation, he adopts a generative approach in which the vivid memory of natural experience coalesces with the abstraction of personal, unbounded worlds, resisting any fixed descriptive or nominative framework.

Trained at the Brera Academy in Milan, he later completed his studies at IUAV University in Venice.

His painting begins by putting on a worn, stained wetsuit, ready for a deep dive. He then moves into the dampest ground, where abyssal flowers, roofless houses, and shared studios merge, all while staying anchored to the buoy of a distant landscape, whose painted roots keep composting through shifting tides.
His is a home of Painting and of immersion, a Painted house.
